French exchange student, 18, missing in Auckland
Hi neighbours. Eloi Jean Rolland has been missing from his accommodation in Birkenhead for two weeks.
His family back in France are "terribly concerned", but cannot travel to New Zealand due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On March 7, Rolland caught a train from the Britomart Station in the CBD about 6.30am, and exited at New Lynn's Fruitvale Rd station about 7.26am. Mobile phone data indicates he was last in the Piha Rd area, where police have been focusing their search since Tuesday.
Police are requesting Piha residents check their properties for any signs of Rolland, and are asking for people to check dash-cam footage from the morning of March 7.
Rolland is 170cm tall and of thin build and was wearing a blue and white jacket, jeans and dark sneakers when he went missing. He speaks limited English.
Anyone who knows of his whereabouts should contact Waitematā Police on 09 488 9764.
