Inconsiderate Rail Trail users

John from Paeroa

I have been WALKED INTO by inconsiderate groups of walkers, taking the whole width for themselves, leaving no room for walkers or cyclists travelling the opposite direction. This happened again TODAY in the Karangahake gorge tunnel, I was forced to stop my bike and fall against the tunnel sidewall by people who acted as if they owned the whole trail.
A few reminders to users to keep left, and look out for people travelling in the opposite direction might help.

ANGRY- anti-vax notice

John from Paeroa

I am angry to find in my mailbox a notice saying "You can't take it back, once they're jabbed, Did they tell you......" with a whole list of false jibber-jabber to persuade people not to get the Covid Vaccine.
Now everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however nobody is entitled to endanger peoples lives and health by promoting the spread of this dangerous virus.
Many people are gullible enough to believe this stuff, and many will suffer as a result.
Many of us remember previous epidemics, and have relatives who died through vaccines being unavailable
Many of us will know of people who are particularly vulnerable to this Covid 19, and who could become infected from contact with unvaccinated people.
A big DOWN to the people promoting the spread of Covid 19 by this mis-information, may they be forced to keep their infectious selves away from the rest of us
