We Say, You Say: Paeroa Racecourse
With a snip of the bolt cutters, the Paeroa community was welcomed back to their racecourse after an eight year absence.
The site was a purchased on November 3 by joint buyers the Wright Family Foundation, established by Wayne and Chloe Wright, and local developer Tim Bartells. Community leaders have made proposals for the site including a caravan park for the annual highland games, a twilight market or commerical and residential development.
What would you like done with the site?

What's your experience with pre-fabricated homes?
The Sunday Star-Times is looking into the rise of transportable/ kit-set/ pre fabricated homes. The upsides are build-efficiency, quality of design, and cost. The downsides appear to be land supply, red-tape with council and difficulty getting lending from banks. If you're willing to share your experience - good or bad - email kelly.dennett@stuff.co.nz, otherwise leave a comment. Is there an aspect of transportable housing you'd like us to enquire about for you?
