Painting chorus box and exhibition

Ronda from Levin

Hello, I'm currently painting a chous box close to the roundabout by the fire station. Many people stop and chat, it's lovely to get positive feedback. I thought I'd share a little of the progress with some photos here. If you are close to the area while I'm working do say hello when passing . Also I currently have an Exhibition on in Te Takere. It's all Trig and Kohitere forest paintings. Oil on canvas, I've been working on those on and off for the last 2 years. Exhibition ends end of December.

Fair play or bureaucracy gone mad?

Virginia Fallon Reporter from Kāpiti Observer

A Waikanae cafe owner has been told she has to move a picnic table off the public walkway outside her business, or pay for a licence.
Take a look at the attached story and let us know what you think. Is it a fair request from the council or a step too far?

Where are you renting?

Katie Townshend Reporter from Dominion Post

Trade Me's latest figures show Wellington's median rent has topped $600 for the first time. But if you go further afield it's not much better, with the region sitting at $580, and areas like Upper Hutt, Porirua and Kāpiti Coast seeing huge increases in inquiries. Where are you choosing to rent these days?
