Probably the Russian variety with pale violet flowers.
Comfrey is a must have in any garden. Easy to grow and a great source of natural fertiliser. Their very long tap roots draw up nutrients from deep down.
Just 'chop and drop' around the garden. Or steep the leaves in water in a covered container - as it will smell- for a few weeks. Then use the resulting liquid as liquid fertiliser - diluted till the mixture looks like weak tea.
They are great planted around fruit trees, about 1M from the trunk. They will slowly spread over the years so best planted away from the vege garden.
Comfrey roots can grow longer than 30cm. When you dig them up, they will snap at various places. So no 2 roots will be alike. Each piece will grow into a new plant.

Just place them flat in the soil, about 3-4cm deep and they will take off when the weather warms up. The crowns - where the leaves actually grow from - will have a head start over the roots.
Auction is for 5 pieces of root and/or crowns, about 10 cm long each.

Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap...and Others Don't

James C. Collins

Hardcover, 300 pages.

Very good condition

Former owner’s name inside, otherwise very good condition.

Rigorously supported by evidence, his findings are surprising - at times even shocking - to the modern mind. Good to Great achieves a rare distinction: a management book full of vital ideas that reads as well as a fast-paced novel.

It describes how companies transition from being good companies to great companies, and how most companies fail to make the transition.

"Greatness" is defined by Collins by a company that achieves financial performance several multiples better than the market average, over a sustained period.

Collins and his research team identified a set of elite companies that had made the transition from good to great - and sustained that performance for at least fifteen years.
