Hauraki Herald cancelled during lockdown

Nicola Brennan-Tupara Reporter from Hauraki Herald

Hi neighbours,
as some of you may have heard, the government last week advised that non-daily publications, such as community newspapers, are not considered essential services under the news and media designation during the Alert Level 4 lockdown. Unfortunately That means that we won’t be able to print and deliver our your paper over the remaining period of the lockdown. However, we will be putting all important local news/updates on our Neighbourly page during the period.

Meals on Wheels Drivers Needed!

Community Activator from Red Cross - Waikato Service Centre

This service supports elderly, ill and disabled people living at home who would otherwise struggle to provide healthy meals for themselves.
Volunteering is a fun and rewarding experience. Being a Meals on Wheels driver takes about two hours one day a week, fortnight or month, or even casually depending on your availability.
For further information please contact us on 07 849 0285 or email: waikato@redcross.org.nz

Rubber matting for feed pads cow sheds and stand off pads

Dean from McNaught Garden Services

We are now the installers of rubber matting for feed lots, cow sheds and standoff pads throughout the Waikato, BOP and Auckland areas. The matting provides non slip protection for cattle doing sharp turns or jostling to get into the feed bins. It prevents animals causing damage to themselves and others due to slipping on a smooth concrete surface.
