Phone/Visa card scam at 9:05am this morning.

Charles from Lynmouth - Moturoa

Received a phone call at 9:05am this morning with unidentified person claiming my VISA card had just been used for 2 suspicious transactions. They contacted me as amounts were unusual for my card. Was asked to press one if charges should not be allowed but 2 if they were OK. I promptly hung up and called our former community bank - TSB. They advised that several other similar calls had been received and advised I should hang up immediately which is what I had done. They took a record of call in case something else eventuated. I was thanked for getting in touch so quickly - BEWARE. Do not respond in any way.

Poll: Could we live without public bins?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Many public rubbish bins are being removed by councils due to the large costs of regularly emptying them. Do you think we can adapt and live without them?

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the We Say You Say column of your local paper.
