Local Council nominees maybe returning to their core sensibility's?

Tom P from Lynmouth - Moturoa

A new contender for South Taranaki's mayoralty says he would not contribute to the multi-million dollar rebuild of the regional rugby stadium in New Plymouth and would withdraw from the NPDC business and tourism development agency Venture Taranaki.  It appears  finally, that some common sense is starting to surface in the Taranaki local political scene. Let us hope it is catching and someone with a similar mind-set has a run for mayor , here in the NPDC. Returning the councils to Core District Council business; then rates reduced to some sort of affordable level, is long over-due. Well down Craig. Best wish's.
