A famous artist of the 1960s, Andy Warhol, once predicted "everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes" . And this is your opportunity for your 15 minutes in the spotlight. The Dominion Post's popular 15 Minutes of Fame series is returning, and we're looking for subjects. This much-loved special feature made a splash over summer with people from all over the region sharing their fears, frustrations, and fantastic achievements on the Capital Day page. Among all the coronavirus news, we want to bring you something lighthearted and fun to read, as well as to join in on. It's easy. Say goodbye to tyre waste
About 40% of the 6.5 million tyres Kiwis use every year are recycled, repurposed, or used as tyre-derived fuel. But the rest end up in landfills, stockpiled or dumped.
The good news is now there’s an easy solution to all that tyre waste. It’s called Tyrewise and is New Zealand’s first national tyre recycling scheme.
Tyrewise ensures that tyres in Aotearoa New Zealand are recycled or repurposed properly, saving millions from going to the landfill.
