Nelson residents counting the cost of private way oversight

Tim Newman Reporter from The Nelson Mail

The residents of Henrietta Way in Nelson overlooked the fine print about the ownership of the road when the subdivision was set up in 2005.

Now they're stuck with a $24,000 road repair bill shared between eight households, and want to warn people in similar situations not to make the same mistake they did.

Have you experienced a similar predicament with a private way? Let us know in the comments below.

Favourite discoveries on NZ travels

Lorna Thornber Reporter from Stuff Travel

Hi everyone,
We'd be keen to hear about your discoveries on your recent travels around New Zealand. Were there any small towns, activities or attractions that surprised you, for better or for worse? Did you come across any lesser-know spots you think more Kiwis should check out? Which small towns do you think deserve more visitors than they get? Please remember your comment may be included in an article unless you state that you don't want it to be. Cheers.

New guidelines warn businesses against making vague, exaggerated or inaccurate claims about the environmental impact of their goods and services, saying companies need to clearly explain limitations to headline claims.
