Moirs Point Christian Centre
Hi Ami,
My name is Thomas. I'm the managing director at Moirs Point Christian Centre.
We provide accommodation to church groups, family groups and schools. People come to our centre to experience something new. A lot of the guests are from Auckland and for many of them, it's the first time out of the area they were born into.
We're looking to continue to provide a venue for people to come to where they can see there is more out there to strive for. More to be seen, more to hope for and more to work towards.
We're also looking to bring more and more people into Mangawhai to help the community thrive.
To be able to do this we need some help. In the next year alone we need new roofing, a new flying fox as the old one has been decommissioned, new BBQ's, 6 kayaks, safe trampolines, clotheslines, linen and to repaint the whole site.
This all costs a lot of money, so any support would be appreciated immensely.
Thank you for your consideration.
Blessings,
Thomas.
Poll: Does the building consent process need to change?
We definitely need homes that are fit to live in but there are often frustrations when it comes to getting consent to modify your own home.

Lest we forget...
On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
