Serial thief in Alicetown/Petone and possibly wider

Nina from Alicetown

There's a guy that's been seen a number of times in the Alicetown/Petone area burgling homes and businesses. He has targeted my neighbours in Valentine St, he's burgled a property in Wakefield St and was caught on CCTV in Regent St, Petone burgling a business stealing tools.

-He is a slim Maori male in his 20's
-He drives a dirty white Hiace van with black tinted windows number plate starting with ZM - it's since been reported that he may have changed his plates
-He has a distinctive tattoo on his neck which is some sort of writing and it's on the right side of his neck (his right)
-He often wears a black cap and skinny jeans with a drop crotch

I approached this guy when he was trying to break in to my neighbours house. He;s very calm and unfazed. He used the excuse that he was 'looking for Natalie'.

Keep an eye out and lock things up as there is report after report of these break-ins by a person matching this description.

Police have been informed but it doesn't seem to stop him.
