What do you think of councillors getting ratepayer-funded childcare?

Denise Piper Reporter from Northern News

What do you think? (Please put NFP if your comments are not for publication.)

Our kids can't escape advertising - What should be done?

The team Reporter from Northern News

Our children are being exposed to an average of 46 ads for unhealthy products every day (27 junk food, 12 alcohol, and seven gambling).

These things are the leading causes of cancer, obesity, diabetes, mental illness and many social harms.

Should our Government be doing more to protect our children from this advertising? What should be done?

Thank you Wattie's

Julia de Ruiter from The Salvation Army NZ

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to Wattie’s NZ and the 150 schools who took part in this year's Cans for Good campaign. Thanks to the incredible effort of students, teachers and whānau, over 30,000 cans were collected and will make a huge difference to Salvation Army foodbanks around Aotearoa.

Wattie’s generously donated a further 25,000 cans taking the total number collected to over 56,000 cans.
