My Nice Neighbour nomination
Gary Crane - the 'Kapiro road hero' has done something amazing for the local children. Gary spent weeks clearing the verge by the school bus stop to make it safer for the children. He even built a bridge and a seat and put in some turf so the kids don't slip over. Prior to this the kids had no where safe to wait for the bus and last year my daughter was almost hit waiting for her school bus. Gary doesn't have any grand children that use this bus stop, he just saw a problem and fixed it without anyone asking him to and I think this is quite a feat at the age of 82. I am forever grateful to Gary for making things safer for our tamariki and I would like to nominate him as a 'nice neighbour'. You're awesome Gary. Thank you so much! Katy
