E Sage

Carl from Kerikeri District

Today I received an email from Minister Eugenie Sage boasting of how she, and the Party, have managed to get more funds to DoC to help with predator control.
She states that “Looking after our unique plants and animals is second nature to us as a Green Party.” This is contradicted by the fact that Minister Sage is allowing the ubiquitous spraying of toxic chemicals throughout NZ that is systematically killing off the soil life, and insects, that are the mainstay of the ecological foodweb, thereby guaranteeing the failure of all attempts to save native species.
Minister Sage is in the unique position of actually being able to do something about this, ie, ban all poison spraying. No more Glyphosate based herbicides, no more Neonicitinoids, no more Paraquat, no more Glufosinate, no more hi-Cane, etc, etc, for the hundreds of other toxic sprays that are destroying the land and poisoning our children.
But Minister Sage is not interested in any of that, so long as she can get her ‘photo-op’ for re-election, then anything goes.
The rank hypocrisy of the Minister and her Party are the reason I am not a member.

Kia ora Northland, it's time to dust off that old camera, get out and about and show the rest of your neighbours your favourite, treasured spots in your region. It could be an awesome view, the shy wildlife or even the old buildings that are wanting their stories to be told.
