Delighted to see this Waitangi rubbish dumper fined, ordered to pay clean-up bill
www.nzherald.co.nz... I personally feel that he got off light, The $400 fine, plus an invoice for $572.65 to cover the contractor's clean-up costs. In view of the amount of rubbish dumped, I think $572.65 to cover the contractor's clean-up costs is incredibly cheap! I found this interesting. “It also contained household waste and a number of documents with the name and address of a man in Haruru Falls. They included a named letter from ACC, a roofing invoice and a building supplies docket. I wonder if the dumper was stupid or just over confident. I found this bit “a named letter from ACC,” particularly interesting. I wonder (1) if the dumper is receiving payments from ACC for some sort of Injury (2) if so, I wonder if he did the work which appeared to have come from a home renovation project because it included roofing material, broken power tools, furniture, an incinerator and a bathroom vanity. Pretty big job If he IS receiving ACC payments for injury and can do this kind of work, does “FRAUD” cross anyone’s mind? Just a thought
A Whangārei patient had to wait seven weeks to get an appointment with her GP, while new Kaitaia residents have to travel for hours to see a doctor. What has your experience been like? What do you think should be done?
