TELCO'S POWER TO DO ANYTHING IN OUR DISTRICT - COUNCILS SAY HANDS ARE TIED!?

Melanie from Havelock North

Is this what Hawkes Bay Residents want our Council to say they have no say in?!? Who are the gate keepers of our amazing District if not our Council!?! Telcos should NOT be able to place their towers in our area without HB Council and residents being an active part of the consultation process. Say NO to the Te Mata Road/1 Durham Drive Spark Cellphone tower where kindergartens, primary schools, retirement homes and young families are being put at risk! Lets take back control of our Health in HB!.

More cell towers to roll out in near future and you have no say! It could be 5 meters from YOURS or YOUR childs bedroom next!.

Please help us by emailing Spark representative Graeme.mccarrison@spark.co.nz and mayor Sandra.Hazlehurst@hdc.govt.nz with your disgust.

"Cell tower behind cancer cases at 1 school?
Sprint shut down a cell phone tower on the campus of a California elementary school after some parents said it may be linked to several recent cases of childhood cancer. Those families at Weston Elementary School in Ripon claim the tower could have exposed their kids to harmful radiation. Carter Evans spoke to the families at the center of the controversy."
