STOLEN IN HILLCREST!

Jamie from Hamilton East

Many of you will have no doubt passed by this iconic piece of Hamilton history.

The beloved wooden dog statue has guarded the front of the Hillcrest Pet Doctors on Cambridge Road for many years now.

We were sad to hear of the news that it had been taken on the night of August 26.

The poor dog had been un-bolted, ripped from its foundations and taken suddenly.

The statue is 1.5 metres tall, 80 cm long and very heavy so it is likely that more than one person has been responsible for the dog-napping.

It’s a distinctive piece of Hamilton heritage, and we would like to see it returned back to its home, where it belongs on Cambridge Road.

If you have any information about this incident please get in touch with us.

We are sure that Pet Doctors would love to see the statue returned back where it belongs, no questions asked.
