Sadly it would appear that Grace has been murdered; I feel so ashamed and so angry that this young woman had her life, her dreams, her everything ended in our little piece of Paradise. I just pray her family have the strength, support and love to survive this. Arohanui moe mai ra .. much love, rest in peace.
Has anyone else noticed that they come out of the shower with the distinct feeling of being in a heavily chlorinated pool ? Sore, red eyes, drier skin then usual ? Or is it just us ?
David Millane has released a heartfelt tribute, thanking New Zealand for taking Grace "into your hearts" following her death.
He thanked the public and police for their support, through a statement.
"After the disappearance of Grace on 1st December 2018 our whole world turned upside down."
The moment he arrived in New Zealand last week David Millane had been "astounded by the level of concern, sympathy and selfless help" from the people he and his brother had met.
He made special mention to the New Zealand police who had mounted the search effort for his daughter.
From the amount of pictures and messages the family received before Grace's disappearance, "she clearly loved this country, its people and the lifestyle," he said.
"Grace was not born here and only managed to stay a few weeks, but you have taken her to your hearts and in some small way she will forever be a Kiwi," he said.
Vigils for Grace were held around the country, with thousands of people lighting candles, observing a moment of silence, leaving flowers and some evening singing Amazing Grace.
Millane would be taking his daughter home to Essex, United Kingdom, this weekend.
