My Nice Neighbour nomination
Mark & Rebecca are my 2x unsung neighbourly heroes. Thursday 1st April (Fools Day), an inspection was carried out at my address and upon completion the inspectors had locked the deadlock and unwittingly locked me out.
After 2x other unnerving incidences earlier that day, I did not need to come home to this. It was raining, lightning, thunder, dark and well into the evening. With steadfast patience and to my great relief, Mark & Rebecca were able to work some magic to finally allow me entry into my unit. I feel a mere thankyou and a small cash offering from myself would pale in significance. I invite your consideration.

What's your favourite piece of Waikato history?
Car parks inspired a milking shed design that took off around the world and became a piece of Waikato District history.
A hundred-year-old church and gravestones from the 1880s will also feature as the district turns the spotlight on its past for its first Heritage Day on April 20.
