Fake health worker takes drugs from elderly

The Team Reporter from Hamilton Press

What would you think if someone came to your door and said they were a Waikato DHB worker who needed to check your medication?
Michelle Theresse Reddy, 48, was described as "polite and courteous", but she bluffed her way into the homes of retirees to get her hands on their prescription painkillers and feed her addiction.
Using an old identification badge and the pretext of medication inspections, she went into residents' homes - even making the bed for one of them.
She was sentenced to five months of home detention and ordered to undertake 150 hours of community work when she appeared in the Hamilton District Court this week on 10 charges of burglary.

Poll: Do you think workers are taking up too many CBD parks?

The Team Reporter from Hamilton Press

The “P” word came up when Hamilton City Council met with members of the Hamilton Central Business Association last week - and a councillor told retailers worried about parking changes to make themselves more attractive to customers.

Do you agree with retailer Barry Radford of Hanrad Bespoke Rugs, who says more parking buildings for workers are needed?
