Painting out Playways

Adam from

Painting can be a significant step in the change process. We just finished painting what once was Playways Toyshop (Grey Street) from the bright, kid-attractive colourful place it was, to a more neutral light grey ready for signwriters to make their mark. The shop that sold educational toys for 25 years has sold up as the tenant is retiring. The new shop will be a clothing and alterations place. It was kind of bitter sweet feeling, yet a privilege to be part of the change process!

A hundred-year-old church and gravestones from the 1880s will also feature as the district turns the spotlight on its past for its first Heritage Day on April 20.
