Housing Advice Centre administers the Manawatū Ready-to-rent programme and is looking for an
Organiser for a part-time, fixed term position.
Ready-to-rent is a programme for people wanting to rent, to help them gain skills, knowledge and an understanding about what it means to be a good tenant.
We are seeking an organiser who can take responsibility for running the Ready-to-rent programme from February to December 2020.
This is an opportunity for someone who likes people; is organised and enjoys collecting and analysing data to produce reports.
A minimum of five hours per week is envisaged for most of the year going to up to 20 hours on the week when the programme is running.
It would be helpful if you have access to a reliable car.
Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following skills/experiences:
Able to set up and administer data to create reports.
Previous experience in working with people with a warm and caring manner.
Good communication skills
Agile and strong enough to set up and clean a training space and kitchen
Able to interact in a non-judgemental way with all types of people regardless of their
The ability to make a good scone (or similar) would be welcomed.
Applicants for this position should have New Zealand residency or a valid NZ work visa.
The successful applicant will have to undertake a vetting process.
