A friendly alert to all neighbours

Bill from Dunedin Central

Perhaps the strangest theft of 2020 - I recently had a high pressure hot water cylinder replaced and decided to make use of the now defunct unit. I Stripped the outer aluminium coating and the foam insulation away before cutting the steel 180 litre tank in half, lengthwise, with a view to using the two halves as planters. I got up yesterday to find that both halves ( probably heavy enough to require two people to shift them quietly), had been stolen from the back of my house. The two halves were not visible from the street which suggests that someone has been wandering through properties (mine anyway), to even know that they were there. These pieces of steel are the second item to be removed from my property in the last little while so treat this as a friendly alert to people in the Maryhill and wider areas.
