Aggravated Robbery At Local Dairy

Social Media Advisor from Southern District Police

Just before 9pm last night three offenders entered the Avenal Dairy and stole a small amount of cash.
They were disguised and it appears they knew the layout of the store and most probably have frequented it recently.
One was armed with a knife.
The victim was shaken but unhurt by the incident.
Police are calling for public assistance for any information for people who may have been discussing robbing a dairy, may have seen suspicious activity or people hanging around the dairy previously or earlier in the evening.
Contact is Detective Sergeant Sean Cairns at Invercargill Police Station 03 211 0400.
Or anonymous information can be passed onto Police by using 0800 555 111 (0800 Crimestoppers). Help us to keep the community safe by passing on any knowledge you have.
