To host international day/night games, Christchurch's Hagley Oval will require six lighting towers, but there's strong opposition to the proposal.
What do you think? Should the lights be installed so the city can host more cricket matches? Or should Hagley Park be left alone? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
We just wanted to share with you all that we have set up our wee honesty box vege stall (the most DIY one you will ever see) for all of the extra food we get from our vege garden!
We wanted to make this page so that you guys can see each daily stock up and know what's available before you trekk over.
We aim to stock it up every morning, depending on what we have.
Please feel free to come by and grab some for a small amount of $$ 🥰
x2 grapefruits $1
x2 lemons $1
x1 bunch of greens (3 stalks) $1
x1 bunch of herbs $1
We currently have grapefruits, spinach, kale, silverbeet, dried & fresh parsley and dried & fresh mint BUT keep an eye out for our apples, beans and peas too!
Our neighbours across the road, down the long driveway, also have their own honesty box - $5 for a dozen eggs.
Have a great day!
-A tornado has left two people injured
-It ripped roofs of buildings and scattered debris through the air

MetService has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Christchurch.
Thunderstorms this afternoon and evening are expected to bring heavy rain and hail to some places. There is also a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms developing, which could produce hail greater than 20mm in diameter. There have also been reports of a tornado.
Large hail can cause significant damage to crops, orchards, vines, glasshouses and vehicles, as well as make driving conditions hazardous.
This watch will be updated by 8:00pm this evening. Keep up to date here.
