Passed peacefully, in his 84th year, at Hospice Whanganui, on 14 October 2021, surrounded by family. Loved husband of Audrey for 62 years. Loved father and father-in-law of David, Sam, Paul, Diane, Tony, Mike and Mai, and brother-in-law of Roy Gilbert. Loved Poppy, Granddad and Great-Granddad to many. Loved brother and brother-in-law to Rex and Sheryl, Keith and Margaret, and his late sisters and brothers-in-law. Audrey and family would like to acknowledge the loving care given by Hospice Whanganui staff over the last week. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Whanganui would be appreciated. John’s funeral service will be held in the Cleveland Chapel, 179 Ingestre Street, Whanganui, on Tuesday 19 October, at 2.00pm.
