On October 12, 2021, most beloved husband and friend of Diana Madgin (Di), father of Nicole, Kate, Jane, Claire and Andrew, Katherine and Sarah, Popdaddy to Jack and Poppa Bill to Max, Minnie and Vicki. Adored brother of Joy, Don, and Dick. Father-in-law of Deb and Michael. Due to Covid restrictions, Bill’s funeral will be by invitation, and is set for 10.30am, Wednesday, October 20, followed by a gathering at a venue to be announced on the day. If you are unable to attend, we will, on request, provide a link for viewing online. A memorial celebration of Bill’s life will be held as soon as we are able. Messages for the family may be sent to 132 Port Hills Road, Heathcote Valley, Christchurch 8022. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Stroke Foundation, NZ or Rewi Alley’s Shandan Bailie School in China.
