Passed away peacefully and comfortably on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Whitby Bupa Rest Home in her 88th year. Dearly loved wife of Jim Ellis (dec) for 53 years, both formerly of Lyttleton and Christchurch. Dearly loved mother of Gary Ellis and Sharon Chappell and father-in-law of Tania, and Bevan. Precious Nana of Kelsey and Ruby. Best buddy of Casper (dec) and Lacy. The family would like to express their special thanks to the wonderful staff at Whitby Rest Home for the loving care of Sidney in the recent weeks, and also to the staff at Summerset Aotea where Sidney resided for over the last 10 years. Family and friends of Sidney are invited to celebrate her life at a farewell service to be held in St Mary’s Anglican Church, Discovery, Drive, Whitby on Thursday, April 22, at 11.00am, followed by a cremation at Akatarawa Crematorium, Akatarawa Road Upper Hutt.
