ASHFORD, Joseph Te Poki Atua
On Tuesday 6th April 2021, surrounded by his family, at home in Patea, aged 91 years. Loving husband and soulmate of the late Ngaiwi. Loving father and father-in-law of Poki and Ngarie, Alec and Pam, Cora, Puti and Willy, Ngaiwi and the late Eru, Ross and Christine, Joseph and Christine, Matthew, Betty and the late Joe, Peggy and Ken, Gloria and Alan, and William and Sharon. Loved by all his Mokopuna. Joe will lie in state at Wai o Turi Pa, Patea, until his funeral service at the Pa on Friday 9th April at 11.00am, followed by interment at Ohinemutu Urupa.
