At Mangawhai Heads, Northland. Predeceased by her daughter, Lindy, she is survived by her husband of 67 years, Desmond, two daughters, Jedda and Madeleine, and son, Shane. Born in Hawera, Elizabeth grew up in Gisborne, gained a Diploma of Home Science from Otago University and worked as a dietitian at Christchurch and Lower Hutt Hospitals. With her husband, she taught at Levuka Public School, in Fiji, for seven years from 1957 to 1963. Elizabeth was the secretary of the Downstage Society for many years and later took over catering for the Theatre. She also founded the cafeteria at the new Wellington Teachers’ College in Karori, Wellington. Elizabeth was a wonderfully creative woman, though her creativity was impacted by narcolepsy, a disability few doctors knew of in her prime.
