OSWALD, Eileen Patricia (nee O’Brien)

Eileen died peacefully in the care of the loving staff at Ranui Rest Home and Hospital on February 14, 2020. She was 2 weeks short of her 96th birthday. Eileen was the dearly loved daughter of the late John Patrick (Jack) and Eliza Mary O’Brien. Dearly loved sister of the late Joan, and dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Gerald and Elsie O’Brien (Palmerston). Loved and cherished Aunt of Dennis O’Brien (deceased), Barry O’Brien (Surfers Paradise), Gail O’Gorman (Adelaide), Diana and Robert Russell (Mosgiel), and Michael and Trudi O’Brien (McKay). Helen Todd and Melissa Bremner (Dunedin). Loved Great-Aunt of her nieces and nephews children both in NZ and Australia. Loved family friend of Ray and Jennie Swan and family (Ashburton). A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Alexandra, at 11.00am on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. In lieu of flowers donations can be left at the service for Ranui Rest Home and Hospital or the RSPCA.
