On November 18, 2018, peacefully with a smile at Christchurch Hospital after a courageous battle. Dearest son of Hendricka. Dearly loved husband of Donna, cherished father and father-in-law of Karla, Vanessa and Jamahal, much loved and very special Granddad of Serena, Aylah, Kyrah, and Calvin, and a good friend to many. A Funeral service for John will be held in the Academy Funerals Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Saturday, November 24 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation.
