Passed away peacefully on October 17, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Lewin (Lew). Much loved father and father-in-law of Stephen (Germany), Christine (Tina) and Peter Hackshaw (Auckland), Shelley O’Connor and Gavin Pearsey (Gore). Dearly loved and devoted pop of Monique, Gabby and partner Jamie (Gore), Finn and Max (Auckland), and loved Ope of Rosalie and Liam (Germany). Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Bill O’Connor, the late Maureen and John Brun, Pat and the late Neil Paget. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held at St Mary’s Basilica, 65 Tyne Street, Invercargill, at 11.00am on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations may be left at the service for Hospice Southland. A very special thanks to all the staff at Hospice Southland for your wonderful care of Dad, also to the special girls at Healthcare Southland for your care over the past years.
