URE, Alfred James

On October 13, 2018, passed away peacefully with family at Christchurch, aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband of his late wife, Hazel. Loved and cherished father and father-in-law of Heather and Tony, Graeme and Kirsty, dearly loved ‘Grandee’ of Hamish and Elena, much loved brother-in-law of Norma, a loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and a dear friend to many. Remembering the loved brother and 5 sisters who have passed. Sawyer, poet, prospector, jokester, ranger but above all dedicated husband and father, who drank deeply from the cup of life.
