Peacefully passed away on 15 April 2018 at Hilda Ross, surrounded by family. Loving husband of the late Joan. Loved father and father-in-law of Alister and Carolyn; Philip and Dorrie; Lorraine and Rhys; and Rodney and Sajini. Treasured Grandad of Tim and Nana, and Zach; Kaitlin and Garrett, and Ryan; Sam and Irene, and Anna; and Alexandra, Sohanya, Imara, and Michael.

A service for Des will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church, cnr Knighton Road and Clyde Street, Hillcrest, Hamilton, on Friday, 20 April 2018 at 11.30am, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations preferred to Baptist Missionary Society, PO Box 12149, Penrose, Auckland 1642, or these may be left at the service.
