Its been reported that a National MP advised the media that John Key was phoning around gathering support for Chris Luxon to be elected party leader at the upcoming caucus meeting on Tuesday. This was immediately denied by John Key and the original story corrected by the media.
Three things are highlighted by this saga
1) National are at it again with their MP's running to the media every opportunity they get with no loyalty to the party that put them into parliament. In the real world of commercial reality such behaviour would get hem fired.
2) who ever it was got their facts wrong. Surely they should have checked before making any statements to anyone let alone the media.
3) typical media behavour, print before checking the facts, simply lazy journalism or perhaps some personal attitudes at play.
I'm finding it harder and harder to support a party that can't control its members and further its members display this type of unprofessional behaviour
