Incident on Lincoln Road and Parlane Street

Dan from Addington

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well.

I am writing this post to try and find someone with whom I had a verbal altercation with on Thursday, July 7th between 12pm and 1pm at the intersection of Lincoln Road and Parlane Street. The area is currently busy with road works, and there are many workers in the area too.

I was in my car and turning into Parlane Street when a young man dressed in high vis, orange work clothes began crossing slowly, and I drove in front of him. Long story short, he swore at me and I responded by pulling the finger at him, which was a huge error. He became more agitated and attempted to assault me.

Although his actions were unfortunate, mine were equally so, and I should not have retaliated. I have been feeling remorseful ever since that day. I am desperate to apologise to him, as my actions were shameful.

What I am wondering is whether anyone around town (slim chance) might know of this man. The only details I have are that he is between 20 and 30 years old, slim, white European, brown hair, and medium height and build. He may work for a construction company or contractor, that works in the area, as he was wearing orange high vis work clothes, similar to what the workers on Lincoln Road wear. This occurred between 12pm and 1pm, so he may have been on his lunch break.

I highly regret my actions and would very much like to talk to him and tell him how much I am sorry for what I did, and that I meant him no harm. This may seem trivial to some, but for me it is a point of honour.

Hope to hear from some of you soon

All the best
Dan
