I am in need of the assistance of a white-ware technician to look at my Daewoo, stand-up fridge. It is causing me great angst as the temp usually sits around 6%, which I know is to hi as I have been having to throw out food as it has gone off.
The only way I have been able to get the temp down to 4% is by turning the thermostat right up and then remembering to turn it down again before it freezes everything in the fridge.
I contacted a company here in CHCH about this and they said it was fine, though this was only a phone call discussion. So I would appreciate hearing from someone qualified, that knows what they are talking about and would be able to do a in home repair, for a fair and honest price. If not really worth fixing I would like to know that too, as long as it is truly not worth fixing
Feeling jaded by rip-off artists in the past.
Almost 1500 Christchurch households could soon have their recycling bins confiscated as the city council cracks down on people who refuse to separate their waste.
About 180 yellow wheelie bins have already been removed and the council has sent final warnings to another 1450 residents.
To get the bins back, they will have to pay $97.65 and sign a statement promising to abide by the rules. Their bins will be monitored to make sure they keep that promise.
Christchurch City Council has spent close to $1.5 million sending almost 1500 truckloads of contaminated material from yellow bins to landfill since May. That equates to about 41 per cent of all yellow bins.
Do you agree with council's strict recycling approach? Let us know below.
