Unable to switch on gas fire
We moved into this house last year and were taught how to use the gas fire through a video by previous owners.
We were able to use it last year though it was difficult to start it as it’s an old one and is complicated to start.
But this year we are unable to start it.
We do not know if problem is in how we are operating it or if there is problem In gas fire.
Can you recommend someone who won’t charge us a bomb to come and teach us if we aren’t operating it properly and will do a good reasonable job if there is some maintenance/repair issue.
Also, are oil or column heaters worth getting repaired? One of ours in bedroom sent a spark and stopped working. Wondering if we should just buy a new one or if there is someone who can look into it?
Say goodbye to tyre waste
About 40% of the 6.5 million tyres Kiwis use every year are recycled, repurposed, or used as tyre-derived fuel. But the rest end up in landfills, stockpiled or dumped.
The good news is now there’s an easy solution to all that tyre waste. It’s called Tyrewise and is New Zealand’s first national tyre recycling scheme.
Tyrewise ensures that tyres in Aotearoa New Zealand are recycled or repurposed properly, saving millions from going to the landfill.
Find out more about the scheme online.
