We have several free clinics coming up this week - see details below for JP and general Legal advice. Plus specialist advice for employment, immigration and ACC every 2 weeks and a monthly CV clinic.
1. Justice of the peace – Monday, 1st - 9.30-12.30. Hornby community centre. Drop in clinic – 03 349 5236
2. CAB Volunteers in the Community - Tuesday, 2nd – no appointment needed
- The Loft (upstairs in Eastgate Mall Library) - 11-2pm
- Rolleston Community Centre (94 Rolleston Drive) – from 12-3pm

4. Justice of the peace – Thursday, 4th - 9.30-12.30. Hornby community centre. Drop in clinic – 03 349 5236
5. Free legal clinics – Thursday, 4th – drop in clinics

6. Specialist clinics – held Fortnightly - email clinics.chch@cab.org.nz to book an appointment if you need help with any of these issues.

For our drop in clinics, we recommend phoning on the day to check the lawyer / JP is available.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
