Email scam - Trademe "Warning"

Matt from Rukuhia

This email came through today, with the following text:
"Hi USER!
Trade Me Account Suspension Notice.

We Have Been Unable To Deposit The Total Sum Of $1450.37 Into Your Account And Card We Have On File Due To The Possible Problems Below :"

They do a pretty good job of making it look like it's from trademe, but of course its not. Even the reply address is "support@trademe.co-nz" - note the hyphen.

They're relying on you clicking on the link to get your bank account or credit card details. Don't do it. If you've already done it, talk to your bank immediately.

Poll: Could we live without public bins?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Many public rubbish bins are being removed by councils due to the large costs of regularly emptying them. Do you think we can adapt and live without them?

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the We Say You Say column of your local paper.
