WATCH: Rotterdam's floating cows: the future of farming?

The Team from Play Stuff

Hi Neighbours, could you imagine cows floating down the Waikato River?

These cows are floating on Europe's largest port, in another effort to make cattle farming more sustainable. The owners call it the world's first 'floating farm'. It's in Rotterdam and they want it to minimize waste and land use, and also bring food production closer to the city.

AUCTION TOMORROW!

Peter Hulsdouw from Lugton's Real Estate - Cambridge

This lifestyle property has multi-generational appeal and great scope for a home-based business. The 5.6 ha block, just 10 minutes from Cambridge, contains two modern homes, a substantial four-bay shed with a big lean-to for farm storage, and a series of paddocks supported by various outbuildings.

PUTTING UP CHRISTMAS GARDEN LIGHTS THIS YEAR?

Lianne from Glenview

Hi everyone, I found a fabulous website here: www.lightupchristmas.co.nz...

Scroll down to Waikato region and you will see how few people have added their properties to the christmas lights list so far.

Sure we can add to this list significantly, and would love to see many more properties sharing the joy of Christmas with others through their festive light displays and the abovementioned website.

PS: I know its early yet but thought I'd put this message up now before I forget to do it later when much busier. Maybe someone from one our local tabloids reads this and writes a bit of an editorial with the abovementioned link.
