Handy Tip for Burnt Pots

Way Of Life Health Shop

Last night I put some veges on to cook, got distracted, and forgot to turn them down. The result was a burnt pot! I remembered seeing a note about burnt pots in my mother's hand written recipe and helpful hints book, so I pulled the old book out and found it. It was simply to soak the pot in tea leaves. So I cleaned the burnt food out of the pot, put hot water in along with a teabag, and left to soak over night. I was pleasantly surprised as the pot cleaned up easily this morning. I thought it was worth sharing as most households have teabags readily on hand.

Say goodbye to tyre waste

Tyrewise

About 40% of the 6.5 million tyres Kiwis use every year are recycled, repurposed, or used as tyre-derived fuel. But the rest end up in landfills, stockpiled or dumped.

The good news is now there’s an easy solution to all that tyre waste. It’s called Tyrewise and is New Zealand’s first national tyre recycling scheme.

Tyrewise ensures that tyres in Aotearoa New Zealand are recycled or repurposed properly, saving millions from going to the landfill.

Find out more about the scheme online.
