In this week’s issue we say growing organic tomatoes is easier than you think. We list more crops to plant on Labour Weekend and give tips for bigger and better tulips next year. Learn the right way to harvest herbs and enlist predatory insects to eat up aphid pests.
Build a foldable climbing frame for upwardly mobile crops plus go in the draw for vouchers from Awapuni Nurseries and a vege grower’s hamper from Yates.
Delivered every Friday to your email inbox, Get Growing digital magazine offers seasonal gardening advice from the NZ Gardener magazine's team of experts. Very sad news, about the Red Cross Shop on Blenheim's Maxwell Rd closing at the end of this month. There's always bargains to be found in there. What was the best item you picked up in the shop, over the years?
Since we are staying at "Delta Level 2" for another two weeks, here's a reminder of what Volunteer Marlborough is doing:
💙 Our staff will continue working from home and our office will remain closed until Marlborough goes to Alert Level 1.
💙 You can still contact us (see below) and we are more than happy to book video call appointments.
💙 Our AGM has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 20th October.
💙 We are holding off on planning more Picton Connect events until we are closer to moving to Level 1.
💙 We will continue providing ongoing updates and sharing resources through our social media and website.
