Libraries reopen with limited services

The Team from Marlborough District Council

The Marlborough District Library (Blenheim) and Picton Library and Service Centre are now open but they’re operating in a different way under Alert Level 2.

You can return library items via the after-hours facility, borrow, request and collect held items. To enter the library you have to show your library card. This is to help with contact tracing; only one family member is allowed in at one time.

Some services including wifi, computer access, printing, newspapers and programmes such as Baby Rhyme Time are unavailable. The libraries are open from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Jennifer Eder Reporter from Marlborough Express

The Marlborough District Council plans to trial a Saturday bus between Picton and Blenheim, in response to feedback from Picton residents wanting to visit the new Blenheim library. It would leave Waikawa Bay at 9am and 1pm, and Blenheim's Seymour St at 10.10am and 2pm.
