Support your neighbours during an emergency!
Last week was certainly busy on the emergency management front, and I hope you were able to get the information you needed about the weather and its potential impact.
Although we missed the worst of the weather, some parts of our region have been affected, so I hope everyone has dried out now. In an emergency, we need to support our neighbours, and the Marlborough Emergency Response Team (all volunteers) have just spent a couple of days supporting the Nelson and Tasman regions. Here’s some of the team kitted out and ready to go, just before they left on Wednesday afternoon.

Poll: Would you use a Picton-Blenheim Saturday bus?
The Marlborough District Council plans to trial a Saturday bus between Picton and Blenheim, in response to feedback from Picton residents wanting to visit the new Blenheim library. It would leave Waikawa Bay at 9am and 1pm, and Blenheim's Seymour St at 10.10am and 2pm.
