Poll: What is the top issue you want the local council to focus on?

The team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The local elections are a great opportunity to decide on who we want to represent our communities over the next three years. With elections just around the corner, this is a good time to pinpoint the issues that affect you and are important to you.

Being clear on this is a first step in knowing what you want your local councillors to support or who to vote for. What are the issues you want your next local council to focus on?

Urban Forage

New Zealand School of Food & Wine

Our Urban Forage Mahinga Kai started at Auckland Domain with a walk through the lower tracks with Riki Bennett to discover a range of edible and not so edible plants, trees and berries.

The forage was then followed by a gourmet luncheon and some of the menu items were prepared using the Kai cooker.

The main highlight was the Kahikatea Berry Jelly which consisted of berries foraged from a year ago.

Paraplegic man surprised with modified motorbike

Mandy Te Reporter from East & Bays Courier

Hi neighbours, a paraplegic man was surprised with a modified motorbike on Sunday by friends and family. The motorbike was given to him in Mt Wellington and he led a charity ride. A year ago, Reid was riding a modified bike but the solo dad decided to sell it so he could help fund his son Layne's stunt riding. Read more about this in the link below.
