This trip we will head north and enjoy the picturesque drive through the beautiful rural countryside to Warkworth. We will stop here for refreshments at Chocolate Brown Chocolaterie and Cafe. The Chocolaterie is the flagship store for their beautiful award-winning chocolates. They can't get much fresher, the chocolate factory is located right behind the Chocolaterie! You can watch the talented chocolatiers produce delicious chocolates during the week. After morning tea we will make our way out to Scotts Landing and explore a little of the east side of the Mahurangi Harbour. Weather permitting those who wish to can take the short walk to view the beautiful Scott Homestead dating from 1877. It's quite stunning and well worth the short walk to view it. From here we will drive along Algies Bay and Snells Beach allowing you a view from the comfort of the van. Departing Snell Beach we will take the short drive to Sandspit where we will have lunch on the water edge at Cafe Sandspit. After lunch, you can either sit and relax at the cafe or go for a walk and explore the Sandspit Wharf area before we begin our homeward journey.

A quick reminder not to move any green waste from host plants (e.g. fruit tree pruning and vegetable waste) out of the Fruit Fly controlled area in Northcote/Birkenhead. Please use the Biosecurity NZ waste bins.
See more info (and maps of the controlled area) on our website.
A big thank you to everyone for your continued help.
