Do you want to live in an environment that improves your work-life balance – In a place close to the city but still surrounded by nature with all the comforts you need? Come and live in Kawai Purapura right in the middle of 19 acres of native bush in Albany, Auckland. We are a diverse community for people who wish to live in an eco-friendly community of like-minded people.

Your new accommodation is an unfurnished double room with shared communal ablutions and lounges and is available for rent as of now. Single Person Price $280, couple price 340, expenses excluded.

Our tenants enjoy bush walks, streams and glow worms, a full length pool, spa, sauna, use of the organic community garden and free morning yoga classes Mon-Fri. Kawai Purapura is a Retreat Centre and as a resident you are entitled to discounts on community classes, venue hire, festivals, events, yoga teacher training programmes and more.

We enjoy a smoke and alcohol-free environment. Pets are not allowed.

Soft plastic recycling bins are back

Hi neighbours, soft plastic recycling bins are coming back.

The Love NZ Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme, which was suspended in 2018, has returned to Auckland and Hamilton and, as of October, will be back in Wellington too.

It can get confusing trying to keep track of what to recycle, what not to recycle, and what's just rubbish.
